Welcome!
The mission of the Department of Health and Human Performance is to gather, create and disseminate knowledge in the sub-disciplines of health and physical education, exercise science, sport administration and/or health promotion. Our students are trained to be leaders and educators who are models for teaching and learning.
Health & Human Performance degree programs are designed to prepare students for a wide variety of careers in areas such as fitness, personal training, coaching, sport and rehabilitation, allied health, public health, and sport & recreation management. We also offer health science concentrations for pre-professional programs in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and athletic training.
Whether you are an undergraduate or a graduate, you will be a part of a program where you can:
- work with practitioners in the field to gain professional experience
- conduct research to solve current problems related to health, physical education and/or sport management
- apply your knowledge in real world situations
- participate in innovative and intimate learning environments
